In 1989, Marc Lépine (born Gamil Gharbi to a believer who "was abusive and contemptuous of women") slaughtered thirteen young female students and one professor at L’École Polytechnique in Montreal.

He blamed them for his failure to get into an engineering school.

As he shot them he screamed, “I hate feminists”.
