Listening to the Extremists

If we do not have Sharia tribunals officially operating in Canada, at this time, it is largely thanks to the Muslim Canadian Congress and its spokesperson Tarek Fatah who took on the promoters of this initiative, the now defunct Canadian Islamic Congress (it has been replaced by the National Council of Canadian Muslims NCCM) and their Liberal and NDP supporters in the Ontario legislature, and opened our eyes to what Islamic law is all about before it was too late.

The moderates have since lost ground to the extremists, thanks in large part to the intervention of a coterie of naïve politicians, academics and intellectuals who, not knowing any better, see nothing wrong in helping to propagate traditional Islamic values and traditions.

During the 2015 niqab debate, two prominent moderate voices in the Muslim community appeared before a House of Commons' committee to state their objections to new citizens taking the oath of citizenship incognito. They were challenged by the then NDP's Foreign Affairs critic Paul Dewar whose party, like the Liberals who would form the next government, was in favour of welcoming anonymous new citizens.

Dewar said that it was not what he was hearing. He was told, that it was because he was listening to the extremists.

The extremists' view would prevail with the election of a Prime Minister who believes that a way of life which would supplant all others can be safely accommodated under a tortured definition of multiculturalism which regards all mainstream value systems as equal, thereby interchangeable, leaving them to compete Darwinian-like for supremacy.

61:9 It is He Who sent His Messenger forth with the guidance and the religion of truth, to make it triumph over every religion.

Like McGuinty, Trudeau appears willfully ignorant about what this ideological struggle is all about. This was evident in his keynote speech at the 2012 Reviving the Islamic Spirit Conference (December 21-23), the largest of its kind in North America.

Only a few days before the celebration of the birth of the one whom Christians revere as the Son of God, Trudeau was at the Toronto Convention Center celebrating with those whose scriptures demand that they tirelessly labour to make the proclaimed religion of truth triumph over religions that preach nothing but lies, including the religion of the perverts who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.

9:30 The Jews say: “Ezra is the son of Allah”, and the Christians say: “The Messiah is the son of Allah.” That is their statement, by their mouths; they emulate the statement of the unbelievers of yore. May Allah damn them; how they are perverted!*

Trudeau in his speech dismissed as people who were only interested in "pit[ing] groups of Canadians against each other" those who thought it unseemly and ill-advised for him to lend his prestige and that of his father to a conference whose participants in their daily devotions pray to a god whose revealed truths (immutable facts communicated to a mortal by a god), in a book He allegedly authored, are openly contemptuous of Judeo-Christian values and beliefs.

It should not have come as a surprise that after this defeat of the moderates in the niqab debate that Trudeau, shortly after becoming Prime Minister, dropped the Harper Court challenge to having new citizens take the oath of citizenship incognito.

The governing Liberals have withdrawn a legal effort by the previous Conservative government to persuade Canada’s top court to strike down lower judicial rulings that allowed women to wear the niqab at citizenship ceremonies… The case centred on a lawsuit by Zunera Ishaq, a devout Muslim woman who moved from Pakistan to Ontario in 2008.

* "The Jews used to "confer the title of 'son of God' to a person whose piety has placed him in a very near relationship to God." Encyclopedia of Judaism

Ezra is such a figure having brought the Torah back to Jerusalem from Babylon. It does not in any way imply that the person is a direct descendent of the Almighty. Either Allah confused the meaning of sons of God in Genesis, or heard the Jews referring to one of their own as a son of God and assumed the worse in Revelation 9:30.
