Jihad and the Prophet A Pitch for Martyrs March 21 - The Death of the Prophet and His Daughter FatimaThe Last Days of Muhammad (my translation of Les derniers jours de Muhammad) by Tunisian scholar Hela Ouardi is a new and controversial book on the death of God's proclaimed last and greatest spokesperson. In an interview she gave Le Point, France's Time magazine equivalent, she said that non-Muslim sources, writing at the time of the man's death, recorded he died in Gaza, not Medina as in the traditions on which I based my account of his death. Ms. Ouardi goes on to explain that his alleged demise in Medina may have been to legitimize Abu Bakr's accession as leader of the believers i.e. caliph, instead of the one whom the Shiites claim was Muhammad's rightful heir, his son-in-law Ali. One of Bakr's first act after being elected caliph by a coterie of Muhammad's companions while Ali, it is said, was busy making funeral arrangement, was to deprive both Alí and his wife Fatima (and the wives of Muhammad) of their heritance, including her father's interest in the Jewish farms of Khaybar. Fatima would press Bakr to return what was lawfully theirs to her and her husband. According to the author her persistence resulted in her being beaten to death by Bakr and Umar who would succeed Bakr as caliph. Under Koranic law i.e. Talion law, this should have led to a demand for retribution up to and including the murder of a wife of the perpetrator and/or compensation; unless Bakr and Umar had done Ali a favour. 2:178 O believers, retaliation for the slain is prescribed for you; a free [man] for a free [man], a slave for a slave and a female for a female ... Ali's father- in-law had forbidden him from marrying any other women for it would displease his daughter. Narrated Al-Miswar bin Makhrama: I heard Allah's Apostle who was on the pulpit, saying, "Banu Hisham bin Al-Mughira have requested me to allow them to marry their daughter to Ali bin Abu Talib, but I don't give permission, and will not give permission unless 'Ali bin Abi Talib divorces my daughter in order to marry their daughter, because Fatima is a part of my body, and I hate what she hates to see, and what hurts her, hurts me." This is not the case for non-Muslims. In the search for a solution to the exodus of migrants from Syria and Libya we should not forget those who are at greater risk of being killed for their beliefs (or lack thereof) and that stopping human smuggling without substituting some other means for them to escape Islamic State is unconscionable. The destruction of everything that might distract from the worship of a god who cannot be worshiped enough is implied in the Koran's pervasive and insidious condemnation of idols and their worshippers. Also, the Prophet had many abilities, but painting or sculpture was not among them which may explain why he and Allah did not care for such artifacts. Under a modern interpretation of Sharia law these blasphemies must be obliterated only if there are no people within the vicinity who revere these precious reminders of who we were. Leaders of the faithful, the caliphs, in pursuing Allah's jihad against the unbelievers started by the Prophet Muhammad, have always taken the long view and have proven themselves mostly excellent caretakers of treasures of antiquity for more than a thousand years. The Saudis, like the Islamic State, broke with this tradition and took a bulldozer to history. The Saudis, as custodian of the sacred cities of the Hijaz where no unbeliever is allowed to set foot, may have been within their rights and operating within the limits of Sharia law, even if many believers objected to the wanton destruction of their heritage; not so the Islamic State. At least the West knows what the expect when there is no longer any opposition to Islamic hegemony. Feb 4 - A Celebration of Self-MutilationLast January, fifteen year old Qaiser was in a crowd celebrating the Muhammad's birth at a mosque in a village in Pakistan. A cleric, having worked the crowd into a state of frenzy shouted, "Who among you is a follower of Muhammad?" Everyone raised their hands. "Who among you doesn't believe in the teachings of the Holy Prophet? Raise your hands!" he then bellowed. The young Qaiser, thinking he was being asked if he believed in the teachings of the Holy Prophet, raised his hand. He was the only one to do so. "BLASPHEMER" screamed the cleric! The boy then ran home, which was only a few hundred yards from the mosque, and cut off the hand that had blasphemed God's Messenger, put it on a platter and bleeding profusely, returned to the gathering. A birthday celebration then turned into a celebration of the boy who had cut off his hand as a show of love for the Prophet. Weird does not began to describe it! It is the mother's responsibility to get sons to the Khatmi-Qur’an, the ceremony which celebrates a child's first full reading (often phonetically) of the Koran. After that, their indoctrination into Islam's more hands-on aspects of being a believer becomes the father's responsibility. An estranged wife and a recent convert, she may not have been fully aware of who does what and when to get an offspring ready to take on the challenges of ridding the world of unbelievers. Her name was Marwa. She was only 15. Marwa is one of countless girls under 18 who have been married off by their parents in hopes of protecting them from the horrors of Syria's civil war. The Koran, in conjunction with the example of the Prophet, is inexorably changing how people live and die. One horrible custom which one day may be the norm everywhere if Islam is triumphant is the sexual exploitation of those whom Western law considers children when it comes to consenting to intercourse and the traumatic, often deadly consequences of children giving birth to children. Associated Press - Jan 5, 2016 Allah revealed in His Koran that men, when in the presence of women and girls not fully cloaked, will experience a Pavlovian-like reaction and want to hump the owner of what Allah calls "their finery" then and there. The German government is largely responsible for creating a situation where large number of sexually mature males would inevitably come into contact with vastly out-numbered females and seek to understand with their hands what their religion has denied their eyes until their wedding night. It will be harder still on the Germans. Many of these young men will feel remorse, not for assaulting the women and girls whom, from their perspective, were asking for it; but for being drunk in front of unbelievers and thereby embarrassing Allah by inviting scorn on His perfect religion. Some will undoubtedly seek His forgiveness through martyrdom, and then, perhaps, the lesson will be learned. Allah changing his mind about unconditionally being kind to your parents is just one of more than two hundred revealed truths (immutable facts revealed to a mortal by a god) that a consensus of scholars agree were abrogated, i.e. nullified or modified by other revealed truths with the ominous Verse of the Sword taking the top spot. Christians/Jews conflict the first to impose a ban on the other was the second successor to the Prophet Muhammad, Umar bin Al-Khattab. Umar dispossessed and banned Jews and Christians from the Hejaz, the so-called holy land of Islam, which comprises most of the western part of modern-day Saudi Arabia and is centered on Mecca and Medina – a ban which remains in effect to this day.
